The HOTAS 5 gives you 5 axes with 16-bit precision, 14 action buttons, a rapid-fire trigger and a hat switch for looking around the cockpit. A MODE button switches between PS5, PS4 and PC, and its light shows which mode you are in. In PS4 mode the sim loads a ready-made profile; in PS5 mode you assign your controls once and keep them as a custom profile.

Set Up Your Cockpit Your Way

The throttle detaches, so you can fly with it joined to the stick on your lap or set it apart on your desk for a full cockpit layout. Work the rudder by twisting the stick or rocking the lever on the throttle, or lock the twist and connect the Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals, sold separately, to the port on the base. A weighted base keeps everything planted, and a resistance knob lets you set how stiff the stick feels.

Does the T.Flight HOTAS 5 work with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PS5?

Yes. It is officially licensed for Microsoft Flight Simulator and works on PlayStation 5. Thrustmaster says the sim loads a default profile when the stick is in PS4 mode, while PS5 mode needs a one-time custom profile that you set up in the game's control settings.

Which platforms does the HOTAS 5 support?

PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Windows 10 or 11 PCs. The MODE button switches between them: red for PS5, blue for PS4 and green for PC. It does not work on Xbox. For Xbox, the matching controller is the Thrustmaster HOTAS One Microsoft Flight Simulator Edition.

How is the HOTAS 5 different from the T.Flight HOTAS 4?

The HOTAS 5 adds two action buttons, a native PS5 mode, the official Microsoft Flight Simulator license and a white finish. The detachable throttle and the twist rudder carry over from the HOTAS 4.

Can I add rudder pedals?

Yes. The base has a port for the Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals, sold separately. When you fly with pedals, you can lock the stick's twist so it only moves forward, back and side to side.

Does the throttle come off?

Yes. The throttle ships detached and joins the stick base with two screws using the included Allen key, which stows under the base. Fly with the two joined on your lap or apart on a desk.

How do I work the rudder without pedals?

Twist the stick, or tilt the rocker lever on the throttle. Either one gives you rudder control, so you can fly a full flight without pedals.

Is the HOTAS 5 wired or wireless?

Wired. It connects with a USB cable, so there are no batteries to charge and no pairing to manage.

Does it include Microsoft Flight Simulator?
