Great News - It Fits the New iPad 11"!
Aviators who own an iPad will adore this remarkably well-designed kneeboard/lapboard/iPad case from MyGoFlight. The exterior features rich, genuine leather while the interior consists of soft microfiber to protect your tablet. Additionally, the rotating cradle has stops every 5 degrees that ensure the unit stays exactly where you want it. It also boasts a pair of aluminum rails that perfectly cradle your leg, as well as four rubber pads that allow it to rest securely on a desk or table. The integral Velcro leg strap can also be removed so the stylish case can be used in everyday environments.
For in-cockpit flexibility, the included clipboard attaches via magnets to the inside cover for use as a lap desk, or to the outside of the cover for use as a kneeboard. The unit's built-in stand feature allows you to position your tablet at nearly any angle for optimal use and viewing. Measures 9.75"L x 7.75"W x .75"D. Fits all full size iPad models. A high-caliber accessory that iPad Pro 11", iPad Pro 10.5", iPad Air 1/2, iPad (9.7"), iPad Pro 9.7, iPad 2/3/4, and all other 9-11" tablets owning aviators will adore.

It was nice. Only issue I have I wish it had tilting capability to reduce singlare in some circumstances. Otherwise it is working great!!
This kneeboard is not useful for the new iPad Pro, I invite you to do experiments and see what happens.
I think is almost ideal. I wanted a) swivel ipad and b) scratch pad together. I looked at several of the choices but this seemed the best designed.I'm an engineer, I applaud and pay for good design. After using it I find I'd like a few changes, but I do agree it does seem the best choice on the market at this time. The way MGF clips the iPad is perfect, and long overdue, and will inoculate you against minor iPad size changes over the years. Tight and self-adjusting! Well done! Changes: a. It's thick. The padded leather is very posh, but I think I'd rather have thinner and less padded in the cockpit. Just me. Same features, less leather/padding = thinner, different price point too. b. Add pen holders. Given the thickness of this package when folded on itself I want (2) not (1) pen holder in the central folding area. Never have too many pens.
This knee board fits my I pad great and even stays secure on my leg well but it is too big. I can’t fly the PA 11 with it as it interferes with the stick. This probably really isn’t a flaw in the knee board as it has to be the big to fit the large iPad. So it’s my own fault for not getting the mini. I wish this knee board came with a pocket to hold my phone and as well the clipboard conflicts with the IPad when I want to fold it up. So in summary it does the job of holding my iPad secure on my leg but not much else.
