Citizen Promaster Skyhawk U830 Eco-Drive Stainless Steel Watch JV2000-51L

The watch was purchased as a retirement gift but that person hasn’t received it though. I will say it’s a disappointment these days that something as expensive as that time price that doesn’t come without some kind of operation booklet or at least a quick start guide. It is comment on the times that manufacturers don’t feel the need to print out such things…but they will always look for ways to increase their profit margins and of course care little ofhow that inconveniences their customers.

Promptly received my new Citizen Skyhawk U830 JV2000-51L, from Pilotmall.com. The watch is absolutely breathtaking and thus far has exceeded all my expectations. As a former owner of several iterations of the Citizen Skyhawk AT radio controlled watches, the new Skyhawk U830 is a substantial and welcome improvement stating with the neat and legible MIP display. Next the user interface is further improved as now all the available functions can be accessed via the 3 pushers on the side of the case. Gone are the requirement of pulling out and turning the crown to switch between functions which often required removing the watch off one’s wrist as it was the requirement in the older Skyhawks. Accuracy is fantastic, thus far seems like 4 to 5 seconds a month gain if wearing the watch 7-8 hours a day. I can happily live with that. I also own a 42mm Breitling Aerospace and I believe the new Citizen Skyhawk U830 is a great pairing in the flight deck as well as anywhere else life happens to take you. Highly recommended!.
