Benefits

Members Only: Sold in the member tent and at the Checkered Flag Club store, so the crest stays on the people who bought the top all-inclusive week at the races.
Reads Across the Ramp: At 3.00 inches it runs noticeably larger than a standard chest patch, so the pylon, the crossed flags and the gold wings all stay legible from a distance.
Thread Renders the Wings: Embroidery gives the winged propeller and the black and white checkered flags a texture and depth that flat artwork cannot, with the Zia sun and the sky panel stitched in full color.
Cut to the Crest, Not a Circle: The die cut follows the outline of the top banner, the crossed flags and the propeller wings, with a gold border tracing that shape all the way around.
One for Each Season: The gold 2026 on the lower ribbon marks this year of the National Championship Air Races, and members build a row of them across the seasons they attended.

A red arced banner reading NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, with AIR RACES AND AIR SHOW beneath it, crowns this embroidered crest. Inside, a light blue sky panel holds a red and white checkered racing pylon with ROSWELL spelled down its face, one black letter per checker and a small green flying saucer in place of the R, capped by a yellow square bearing New Mexico's red Zia sun. A red jet climbs at upper left and a prop racer crosses at right on a looping red flight path, over tan and gold mesas. Crossed black and white checkered flags sweep out behind the banner, a blue ribbon reads CHECKERED FLAG CLUB in gold, and a gold winged propeller with a red-tipped hub sits above a smaller 2026 ribbon.

The Checkered Flag Club is the top all-inclusive experience at the National Championship Air Races, one price covering parking, admission, food and merchandise all week, and this crest is sold to members only. At 3.00 inches it is die cut to the crest silhouette with a gold border, the flags and wings forming the outline. It goes on a flight jacket, flight bag, vest or hangar banner, and members add a year each season.
