Pacific Sunrise Limited Edition Sam Lyons Print

Take a trip back in time - and half a world away - with the help of aviation artist Sam Lyons and his island illustration Pacific Sunrise. In the 18" x 24" image, Lyons portrays a gorgeous F4U-1 Corsair in an equally exotic tropical locale complete with a sandy beach, a sunny sky, and a plethora of palm trees. The drawing honors the US Navy's legendary VF-17, aka the "Jolly Rogers," who operated the Corsair during WWII as a shore-based unit in the Solomon Islands. Fans of the F4U will notice how flawlessly Lyons replicates all of the aircraft's distinct characteristics; notably, its trademark inverted gull wings.
