Slick wings!!
A slick wing A-6A has never existed in a squadron. In my squadron, VA-145, all planes came with 3 mer’s/ter-s under each wing and one under the fuselage. I’ve launched with a belly tank and 24 500 lb bombs. That’s why the A-6 existed. Big fat wings and a huge bomb carrying capacity.
