FAA regulations require supplemental oxygen above 12,500 feet MSL for extended flight and above 14,000 feet for all flight time. The regulatory minimums are not the whole story, though. Hypoxia begins affecting performance at lower altitudes than most pilots realize, particularly at night, and symptoms can be subtle enough that impairment develops before it is recognized. Supplemental oxygen at or even below the regulatory threshold is sound practice for high-altitude operations.
Our portable oxygen system collection includes Boost Oxygen portable canned oxygen systems, an accessible and convenient option for general aviation pilots looking for supplemental oxygen support. Boost Oxygen canisters are lightweight, easy to store in a flight bag or seat pocket, and require no fill adapter or cylinder hardware to use.
