Crowned as the "Red Hot Fighters," the aerial boxing jocks of the 22nd Fighter Bomber Squadron ripped into enemy threats between 1939 and 2010. From World War II through Operation Iraqi Freedom, these iron-hearted fighters blasted across the skies aboard legendary warcraft, including the Republican P-47 Thunderbolt, the North American F-86 Sabre, and McDonnell F-4 Phantom II.
The team tag consists of a boxer bee flying upwards and to the left, with gloved boxing hands trailing in front. The bee's face and cocked head show that he is determined to whip into the vortex of battle as fast as possible. The emblem is framed in a sky blue disc.
