Description

Ask a handful of random pilots and nearly all will tell you that the prospect of completing paperwork is exponentially more difficult when such tasks are undertaken in an aircraft cockpit. Unfortunately, the nature of aviation - specifically the IFR variety - requires its share of pen & paper duties. For those unavoidable times, the RAM Multi-Pad with Suction Cup Mount Kit is a godsend that significantly improves the average aviator's ability to keep up with his/her writing responsibilities while slipping the surly bonds.

The centerpiece of this one-of-a-kind combo is the revolutionary RAM Multi-Pad. The 4" x 8" high-strength composite writing surface features a pair of integral rare-earth magnets that provide a solid hold on your ferrous metal pens with nothing more than a touch. It also boasts a durable top clip and a 4" W insert sleeve, both of which ensure your checklists, clearance/Wx notepads, approach plates, aeronautical charts, and other important docs don't wander off when you need them most. Further adding to the kit's utility is a 3.3" D suction cup mount with a twist-lock base that anchors the rig to glass, plastic, and similar smooth, non-porous surfaces. This trait enables users to position the Multi-Pad at a more user-friendly viewing angle than is possible with kneeboards and lap desks. Both the pad and the suction cup have 1" rubber ball heads that connect to the combo's standard length (3.69") double socket arm. With the three pieces joined, the two ball-and-socket joints offer a nearly infinite degree of positioning possibilities. For added convenience, a single adjustment knob controls the tension on both joints. Furthermore, the entire contraption can be easily removed by sliding the quick-release lever at the suction cup's base. A safety-enhancing flight deck accessory that reduces head-down time, minimizes head movements, and fosters situational awareness each and every time you take to the air.
