With Mutt Muffs, you can now take your best friend flying without worrying about cockpit noise damaging his sensitive hearing. Designed specifically for dogs, these high-caliber canine headsets are constructed from the same top-of-the-line materials used in human aviation headsets. What's more, they've been optimized for the unique contours of a dog's head and ears; assuring a secure, snug, comfortable fit.
Since dogs' hearing threshold is significantly more sensitive than that of humans, these headsets have been meticulously tested and shown to provide an average of 20 dB noise reduction in the human range of hearing. Additionally, these headsets block out even more damaging sound at the higher frequencies unique to canine perception. Available in sizes from XS through XL, these incredibly well-designed ear protectors will keep Fido safe to enjoy numerous GA flights for years to come.

Great experience and fits my dog perfectly!
I was a little skeptical, but I have a Border Collie that is really super sensitive to thunderstorm noise. She wears a Thundershirt and finding a white noise (we were using a dryer or box fan) was the only thing that seemed to further her comfort. The Mutt Muffs have definitely taken that next step for her! She is happy to sleep on her bed next to the box fan in her shirt with her Mutt Muffs on. The only issue we have with them is fit, the velcro is a little long and uncomfortably sharp edged, especially the chin section. Perhaps a soft rubber cover would help there.
I have a dog named Rusty that appears to be more impacted by the sounds of the 4th than most other dogs. Got this, used the suggestion of getting him used to it by giving him treats. Spent about 3-4 hours training him how to "like" it and by the beginning of the first evening, he was wearing it while I worked (I work evening hours at a home office) and with the help of pills, he slept through the fireworks. Used it also on the 4th, he still reacted to the larger booms, but for the most part, was the calmest 4th I've ever had. Past year's, the pills have not worked to keep him calm. An amazing product for us!
Disappointed in the quality and finish. Though pilotmall did have the best price, I would almost recommend making your own from some 10-20 dollar human muffs from a sporting goods store. Thanks to pilotmall for the quick shipping!
Good quality materials. Could use a clasp on strap under chin to ease getting it on/off when dog is restless.
