The Boeing 757 is a mid-sized, twin-engine airliner designed for operations on short and medium distance routes, replacing the popular three engine Boeing 727. Maximum passenger seating capacity was 199-Delta configured its aircraft for 189 seats in three-class seating. Records show that Delta operated 111 B757-200s. Boeing ceased production of the B757 series in 2004. Our model is painted in the current Delta Airlines paint scheme. Delta Airlines is sixth-oldest operating airline by foundation date, and the oldest airline still operating in the United States. Interesting fact: On March 29, 1991, a 757, powered by only one of its engines, took off, circled and landed at the 11,621-foot-high (3542-meter-high) Gonggar Airport in Tibet.
