Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS Neo Ace Combat 8 Wings of Theve Edition (Xbox Series X|S, One, PC)

What platforms does the Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS Neo Ace Combat 8 Edition work with?

The controller is designed for Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One and PC. It uses a wired USB-C connection and the cable is included in the box.

Can I play Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve on an Xbox One with this?

No. The controller supports Xbox One, but the game does not. Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC only. To fly Ace Combat 8 on an Xbox you need a Series X or Series S console. Thrustmaster designed the HOTAS itself for Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One and PC.

Is the game included with the controller?

No. This is the controller only. Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve from Bandai Namco is sold separately.

When does this ship?

Thrustmaster has the T.Flight HOTAS Neo Ace Combat 8 Wings of Theve Edition scheduled for October 2, 2026, the same day the game launches globally. Preorders are being accepted now, and orders ship in the order they were placed.

How many axes and buttons does it have?

Seven control axes including the Z-axis, at 16-bit resolution, plus 16 action buttons, a rapid-fire trigger and a multidirectional hat switch. A mini-stick sits on top of the grip for an additional proportional input.

What is H.E.A.R.T. and why does it matter?

H.E.A.R.T. stands for HallEffect AccuRate Technology, Thrustmaster's magnetic sensing system, used here on the main axes at 16-bit resolution. Magnetic sensing reads position without a mechanical wiper, so fine inputs near center register instead of being lost in slack.

Does the grip really vibrate?

Yes. A vibration motor is built into the grip. It fires on missile impacts, cannon fire and turbulence, so you feel the hits and the rough air rather than only seeing them.

Can the throttle be separated from the stick?

Yes, the throttle is detachable. You can spread the two units to your own shoulder width across the desk, or leave the stick on the desk and rest the throttle on your lap.

How do I control the rudder?

There is a dual rudder system. You can twist the Z-axis on the grip, or use the progressive rocker lever on the throttle. Both drive yaw, so you can pick whichever feels right for the aircraft you are flying.

Do the stick and throttle stay joined together?

Only if you want them to. The throttle mounts to the stick as a single unit out of the box, and it lifts off when you would rather spread the two apart. Set them at your own shoulder width across the desk, or keep the stick on the desk and rest the throttle on your knee.

What comes in the box?

The HOTAS unit, a USB-C cable, and a warranty leaflet with the user manual.

What makes this an Ace Combat 8 edition, and is there a PlayStation version?

It is produced under an official Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve license from Bandai Namco. There is a PlayStation sibling, the Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS Neo Ace Combat 8 Wings of Theve Edition (PS5, PS4, PC), built on matching hardware with different platform licensing, so choose the edition that matches your console.
