Would not accept or hold a charge out of the box. Have not attempted support yet, so only judging the unit itself at this point.

Sunlight/heat destroyed the unit.

Do not leave on the glare shield as the heat will destroy the battery and possibly the electronics. While refueling, I left my XGPS160 there for under 15 minutes which resulted in a total device failure -- thanks to the black rubber anti-skid holder and the black case.The one year warranty expired over a year ago. However, the new software APP did indicate the amount of charge available.I replaced the XGPS160 with a special order iLevil2 AW from Pilot Mall because it has a metal frame and external antennas, enabling me to place the unit out of the sunlight. Yes, the iLevil2 AW is overkill for a Cessna 172. But it works well!

Flawless GPS Receiver

I purchased the XGPS160 SkyPro receiver over a year ago from Pilotmall. I'm and aerial photographer, and use the GPS to record a track log of the flight, so I can merge the track with the photos for geotagging and archiving. This receiver is a huge upgrade from the XGPS150. I haven't had any disconnect issues (I did with the XGPS150). I can connect with multiple devices simultaneously with no issues. The track log record feature works perfectly. I will soon be upgrading to the Dual ADS-B receiver, while keeping the SkyPro in use for track logs. I'm very impressed with Dual's products. I just updated the firmware for the XGPS160, and it works well, as did the previous version. Disregard an earlier review by another customer stating that the track log record feature doesn't work, and isn't ready for prime time. Any questions, feel free to contact me. Angel Flight Southeast Pilot

Used for a 6+ hour mission between Sanford and Key West. The GPS 160 worked as advertised in conjunction with an iPad 4, using FlyQ EFB software. The GPS accuracy is amazing, including the altitude. The fully charged iPad and GPS units had no difficulty maintaining location on the iPad display for the entire duration. I suspect the iPad would not last more than 7 hours with both the Bluetooth and medium intensity screen brightness. I did not see any way of determining the remaining GPS battery charge.
