Sam Lyon's love of aviation since childhood led him down the road to his present career as a world-renowned aviation artist. His paintings can be found at military bases, museums, aviation gift shops, and in pilots' art collections throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Through his membership in the Air Force Art Program, Sam's painting "Lead Solo" graces the Air Force Art Hall in the Pentagon.
"Plantation Piper" features a PA-11 at Toogoodoo Plantation near Charleston. It has the original PA-11 color scheme of blue and yellow. The setting makes you want to drink a mint julep and drawl "Frankly, Scarlet, I don't give a damn!" But you don't have to be a Southerner to appreciate the meticulous details and lovely lines of this fine flying machine. This print is produced on acid-free, neutral-pH paper with permanent inks and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The 15" x 20.5" prints are available in a Limited Edition size of 200 Signed and Numbered, 20 Artist Proofs, and 25 Prints on Canvas.
