This Upgrade Kit Includes:
SoftSkin® Ear Seal Covers
Keep your ears even drier and cooler and add to product life by slipping SoftSkin® Ear Seal Covers over SoftSeal® Ear Cushions. Self-wicking reduces perspiration buildup. Especially helpful in hot, humid climates. They fit loose, not tight like a drum (this is important because tight cloth covers produce pressure on the ear, causing pain).
MicMuff® Microphone Cover
The MicMuff® Microphone Cover lets a noise canceling mic do its job above 97dB. Eliminates ambient cockpit noise and noise from radios and intercom. The noisier the cockpit (warbirds, open cockpit, large engine aircraft), the more dramatic the improvement in noise reduction and clarity.
SoftTop® Headset Cushion
Eliminates top-of-head pressure. 100% plush sheepskin wool. Keeps head cool or warm. Moisture-proof, self-wicking action. Flexible leather backing. Customized mount of either rubber extrusion or nylon hook/loop wrap.

Bose headset
I fly a corporate aircraft with ship powered Bose headsets. I like the noise cancelling features and audio performance of Bose but unfortunately my head is not pointed to fit the way the headset folds, so I get hot spots. I bought the upgrade kit for the bigger head pad. It helps some but doesn't make the fit perfect. I also have David Clarks, I can wear them for hours at a time but they're not ship powered....
The new ear cups for the Bose are difficult to get on and keep on. They're firmer than the original ear cups and not as comfortable. I didn't use the microphone cover, I don't have a noisy environment.
All in all, the kit is ok, expensive for the benefit gained.
