I've been simming with the ordinary CH USB Yoke for many years, so decided to upgrade to the latest. I cannot say enough about the tough materials, fit, finish and smooth operation of this yoke. I'm not sure if my old yoke is worn compared to this new one, but it is so smooth in operation. I finally made the move after considering it ever since it came out, because of the two hat switches at the top of each yoke handle. This second hat switch will be very useful for panning with either hand, but now that I have it, it suggests using it for other uses aside from panning just by programming a function in for each position of the hat. Since I have rudder pedals the paddles were not a feature that attracted me to it, but again, now that I have it, I've been using it during cruise flight to make small adjustments in yaw & direction. I will begin to consider the many possiblities for programming the buttons on the front of the yoke (lighted rotary and three pushbuttons). One would be handy to freeze the TrackIR 5 so that once I zoom up to a switch on the panel I can freeze it easily and manipulate that switch in a steady state, then resume with another click. I find I want to freeze the TIR movement often when making a random reach for my coffee or other function, where freezing would be handy via a button instead of F9 on the keyboard. The hold down clamps have been redesigned since my earlier version of the yoke, and are larger... making the unit very rigid on the desktop edge. All in all, a great value in design and function... it is just so well built compared to the others I've manipulated in the stores. I recommend this new yoke... have fun simming, then learn to fly a real airplane... you can do it - just stick with it until you get it done. You'll never regret doing it, and the sim is a great help!

Couldn't be better. A little hard to get used to after having a Microsoft Force feedback Stick. But this is far more realistic. It has way more buttons than tou will ever need, but thats fine. I'll find a use for them.
