In his latest release, How to Fly an Airplane Handbook, Master CFI, longtime AOPA columnist, and world famous aviation humorist Rod Machado reveals the tips, tactics, and training techniques he's gleaned from his 40+ years as one of the most sought-after flight instructors on the planet. In 510 pages of content - including loads of helpful, full-color illustrations - Rod shares his sage advice on everything from perfecting essential stick-and-rudder skills, minimizing risks, flying more efficiently, reducing/eliminating flight-training frustrations, and much, much more. He also covers the nuts 'n bolts of mastering all private and commercial maneuvers, as well as offering guidance on becoming a more effective aviation instructor. Also available in MP3 audio format (sold separately). An outstanding collection of need-to-know aviation info that pilots of all experience levels will appreciate.
The humor does lighten the load a bit, but it's pretty corny! Leaving aside the humor, a pretty enjoyable and education read. Unless you've got 5000 hours or more, this is a great read; you WILL learn something!
