This is a quality bag and is fairly compact, but there are a few things I would wish they improved. First, the small zipper pocket at the top would be better if it was designed for glasses; meaning a larger opening and felt lining. It’s currently too difficult to put glasses in that pocket and it’s difficult to get items in and out through that small zipper hole. Second, I wish the bag was less tampered on the side; more squared off. I keep my A-20 headset in the Bose case and when that’s in the bag, the small kneeboard I have BARELY fits above it. If the bag was more squared off, it would fit kneeboards a small notebook a bit better. Lastly, the top pocket on the 2 pocket side has a zipper that is straight and tight which prevents using the pocket for much. That zipper- and pocket - would be better if it was designed like the bottom pocket. You could use it for so much more. All-in-all, I’m happy with the bag, but it does need some additional improvements.
Finally found a quality bag the right size..
I've tried them all, either too big, too small, poor quality, too few pockets, too many, too soft, etc. This one is the right size, stands up nicely, not too many pockets to search through but enough to stay organized. High quality, looks great and shoulders easily (I don't like backpacks). Carries enough for everyday flying and short trips which is what most of us do anyway. Perfect bag for a CFI.
