David Clark DC PRO-X
My DC PRO-X
My only complaint and really not a complaint is no clip or anything to hang cord from my very cool and cramped 737-800 cockpit. Awesome, especially blue tooth function.
Works Great In Piston & Jet Aircraft
This is a great headset, and a great value compared to the Bose and Lightspeed alternatives. I bought it for use at work in a Lear 35, but it works surprisingly well in my Piper Cherokee. It cancels out a lot of noise in both piston and jet aircraft, and it is very light and comfortable. The bluetooth is a great feature; the only issue is that everyone on the intercom will hear you when making cell phone calls. There should be a way to automatically or manually isolate the outbound audio.
I was a bit skeptical since I only fly piston singles (Piper PA28 etc)but gave them a try. I'm completely satisfied. Compared with the H10-13.4 that I have used for the past couple years the pro-x noise reduction completely eliminates the low frequencies, much better than the H10 does and it's not a head clamp, it's like not wearing a headset at all. The competing active noise reduction headsets may be quieter but the comfort factor of the pro-x outweighs the slightly better noise reduction, and it's priced better too.
