Description

The B727 is a mid-size narrow-body three-engine jet aircraft built by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The 727 is based on the 707 design; similarities include its upper fuselage cross-section and cockpit design. The 727 can carry 149 to 189 passengers and later models can fly up to 2,400 to 2,700 nautical miles nonstop. The 727 was heavily produced into the 1970s; the last 727 was completed in 1984.

This specific model is painted in the Pan Am paint scheme. Pan American World Airways was founded in 1927 as a scheduled air mail and passenger service operating between Key West FL and Havana, Cuba. The airline has become a major company credited with many innovations that shaped the international airline industry, including the widespread use of jet aircraft, jumbo jets, and computerized reservation systems.

This handcrafted model is painstakingly molded from pressure cast composite resin by our skilled craftsmen with a wealth of detail and makes a great gift for any veteran, aviation enthusiast or history buff.
