On June 26, 1942, the Grumman F6F Hellcat took its inaugural flight, going on to become one of the most important aircraft in the U.S. Navy & Marine Corps for the next 20 years. The American Beauties 18" Clock is a tribute to this important airplane in the history of aviation. In addition to illustrations of two Hellcat planes, the sign shows a beautiful blond wearing an off-the-shoulder top and holding a large red hat over her lower body. The words "American Beauties" appear on the sign, in reference to both the F6F and the lovely lady.
Equally impressive to the artwork is the clock's high-quality construction. The timepiece features an American-made Quartz movement for the pinnacle of accuracy and durability. The 18" analog clock runs on a single AA battery. A phenomenal testament to American-made quality at a truly remarkable price.
