Comments:
This little gem is a great comfort, especially for CFI's like me that jump from one plane to another on a daily basis. I do recommend it as another set of eyes for providing heads up info.

All GA pilots need something like this

Comments:
The Zaon MRX is an indispensible item for anyone flying light aircraft. It has saved my bacon more than once, and I don't fly that much. Even if you only get the MRX (shows alt, dist and alt trend), it is an amazing safety device, especially in crowded airspace. The only caveat, it can only pick up targets that have an operating transponder, and you might be surprised how many folks out there don't have their transponders on in uncontrolled airspace.

Comments:
I'm really surprised this little thing can do so much. I was inside a hangar with the doors shut and it was picking up planes taking off and landing. I would give it 5 stars but I need to use it a bit more. I put it on the glare shield with the velcro buttons supplied. I don't need the headset adapter, I can hear it easily through my ANR headsets. It gives two beeps for a warning, and four for an alert. Very easy to use right out of the box. According to the manual, it picks up military traffic as well. But note it is a passive system, it relies on someone else pinging the transponders. I'll probably know more in a while, I've only used it twice but it is great to have another set of eyes, especially with my upcoming flight to the Hudson River corridor.
