Pocket Sized!

Comments: I bought this receiver a few years ago to take to airshows. It is easy to use, fits in your shirt pocket and runs forever on a set of batteries. I don't have to worry about accidentally hitting the transmit key while walking around the airshow either!

Great Scanner

Comments: Great scanner. This radio was built for the aviation enthusiast. It is great for listening when close to an airport or for getting your ATIS information prior to walking out to an airplane. It fits nicely in your pocket or in any flight bag.

Comments: Good radio for the price am currently doing my PPL and this got Me a headstart in radio communication skills I normally go to our aiport to listen in to pilot atc communications The dual listen function is quite good as it allows one to tune to two frequencies at the same time and is quite handy. The only draw back is the lack of transmit capability hence it will offer limited backup in the event of comms failure

Maycom AR108 A great little scanner

Comments: This unit is much smaller than I had pictured and has been working well since it arrived. The Scan and Dual Watch features work well and the battery life seems good so far. Of course I would like a little more range, but I'd probably say that about any unit. I work next to an airport and it is coping fine even when surrounded by the steel and concrete of our office. It was delivered with the wrong manual but this was easily remedied.

Comments: Excellent radio receiver for the price. Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. Takes 2 AA batteries which last about 32 hours of operation. Can be set to a single channel, can scan all aviation frequencies (108.0000-136.9750) or can be set to scan 99 preset frequencies. Also can pick up the weather broadcasts with the press of a button. A great receiver for the price.
