Excellent display - bright enough for the sunniest days. FONT size that is large enough to read, and DISPLAY that is big enough for adequate SA. Terrain Advisories are colorized similar to Chelton, and do a superb job of keeping the pilot abreast of his horizontal & vertical reference. Direct-To navigation & on-the-fly entry of Lat/Long (in ANY format: Deg,Min,Sec, Hexi, TM, etc., etc.) is fast and intuitive. Terrain hazard cautions work well. Airspace graphics are 3D or 2D; both are very effective. Recommend one accessory: (1) optional battery pack ($50) to keep your system running for up to 12 hours. Best purchase I've made in years. Used extensively for 2 years. No problems.

The 2000c is by far the best portable gps you can buy at this price. Lowrance has put so much thought and engineering into this product and it offers just about everything a pilot could need in a portable with easy to use intuative controls. I would like to see Lowrance add a weather feature similar to Garmin's 396/496 as well as more airport taxi diagrams. One other note for potential buyers: UPGRADE as soon as you purchase it at the Lowrance website. They will give you a wealth of new features and many more taxi diagrams than the default map.

Great visibility...easy to use...does everything that it is advertised to do. If they could somehow add weather, it would be the best available!

Excellent gps. The terrain detail is awesome. Great size on the display and easy to use. Battery comsumption is on the high side but works great when connected to an external power source
