Comments: I was very impressed with its durability. I saw it operating in a tank of water at a show, demonstrating how well built and sealed it is. It includes the headset adapter with other brands this is extra. Includes the NAV function which seems to work fine as well. Highly recommended.

Comments: I purchased this radio for use while paragliding while I'm near or in D class airspace. So far it has worked well. I will purchase the mic attachment soon for ease of use while gliding.

Comments: Out of all the Transceivers I was looking at, I settled on this one and have absolutely no regrets. I mostly use it for plane-spotting, but I also have it as a backup while flying just in case. Haven't had a chance to test out tx power yet but it receives well. Pros: Built like a tank (Metal case and water tight). Great price. Pretty straight forward for basic operation. Scan function cycles fast. Loud speaker. Good accessories. Long battery life. Lots of presets for common but tough to remember frequencies (Air-to-air, NYC-area freqs., etc.). Wx channels. Cons: Wish the display stayed lit longer. Advanced operation takes a little bit of reading the manual but really is not too bad. I wouldn't label it as bulky, or large, but it's a bit wider than some comparable Icom transceivers. The belt clip seems sturdy enough but it would be nice to have a more traditional (leather) case.
