The X-45 aircraft was produced by Boeing Integrated Defense Systems and developed by Boeing’s Phantom Works. It is a part of DARPA’s J-UCAS project. The X-45 is called the “Unmanned Combat Air Vehicleâ€.
The X-45A was the first prototype that was represented on the requirements set in 1999. The Air Force wanted an aircraft which has a bigger payload, range and has special tactics. The X-45B model was the result of the Air Force wanted. It was originally planned to be available for the United States Air Force in 2006 to 2007. But before the first X-45B had made it was been replaced by the X-45C model. X45B was turn into a base for the X-45C model version and its systems and center body were used. The United States Air Force decided not to pursue the X-45 project in March 2, 2006. But Boeing submitted a proposal to the United States Navy for a new version of the X-45.
The X-45 flies in some dangerous missions and brings accurate weapons on target. It can be controlled by a satellite communication or a line-of-sight. It is very flexible to changing combat conditions and can provide with reconnaissance, surveillance as well as to take on in deep strikes
