Limited Edition Aviation Art by Sam Lyons More Info »

Sam Lyon's love of aviation since childhood led him down the road to his present career as a world-renowned aviation artist. His paintings can be found at military bases, museums, aviation gift shops, and in pilots' art collections throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Through his membership in the Air Force Art Program, Sam's painting "Lead Solo" graces the Air Force Art Hall in the Pentagon.

"The Legend Begins" is the first Legend Cub release from Sam Lyons Studio. A fresh-from-the-factory Legend Cub takes off from a 2200-ft. airstrip in Woodstock, Ga. It just happens to be the place where artist Sam Lyons lives and works. And that's Sam in the pilot's seat! The person who commissioned the original painting wanted Sam to be giving his son Greg a flying lesson in the picture. Sam's studio windows give him a great view of the runway even when his feet are on the ground. This print is produced on acid-free, neutral-pH paper with permanent inks and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.The 16" x 22" prints are available in a Limited Edition size of 250 Signed & Numbered, 25 Artist Proofs and 15 Prints on Canvas.
