Hands free light source that fits on your pocket!
Creatively designed by a patrol officer tired of fumbling with (and dropping and breaking) flashlights while jotting notes and writing citations, the QuiqLite meets and exceeds the needs of cockpit illumination for nighttime chart reading, note taking, and general kneeboard use. Thin and unobtrusive, it clips over the edge of a shirt pocket.
The battery and button section hangs inside the pocket, lowering its center of gravity and making for a stable source of illumination. It also extends lower than the pivoting LED section outside of the pocket, making the button easy to press through the fabric of your shirt. The button's broad and contoured edges make it easy to feel what your are doing while you keep your eyes where they are supposed to be.
The real brilliance of the QuiqLite is in the pivoting LED and clip mechanism. While the clip remains secure on the edge of your shirt pocket, the LED pivots from the top edge, up to about an 80 degree angle. This wide range of motion lets you adjust the light to illuminate whatever part of the cockpit needs it most, while keeping glare from reflecting off the windscreen. It also prevents an accidental bump from pivoting the light to shine in your eyes.
The automatic shutoff feature, which turns off the unit after 5 minutes, makes this a one-touch solution to hands-free cockpit illumination. Just tap your pocket where the QuiqLite is to activate it, flip up the LED to point where desired, read your chart or take your notes as needed. No need to worry about turning it off again or wasting batteries.
