Panel Planner is your best solution for designing or re-designing instrument panels for any aircraft. It is designed for the aircraft owner, homebuilder, repair/refit station, flight department, designer, or manufacturer. Panel Planner is a stand-alone program and no CAD experience is required!
Panel Planner gives you the power to design and build instrument panels in record time. Simply drag full-color, photo-realistic instruments, avionics, and cockpit controls into place on an aircraft panel template.
Panel Planner tracks total cost, total weight, and peak current, generates an equipment list, and even prints actual-size hole-cutting templates and color mock-ups with your desktop printer.
With dynamic database updates over your internet connection, Panel Planner equipment and panels information is always up-to-date, with the most recent instruments in the market, ready for you to use. The software is multi-platform, based in a technology called Java, and can run either on Macintosh, Windows, Linux, or any other platform that supports Java 1.4.

Technology You may ask what the "J" stands for? It stands for Java, the programming language our software uses.
Why Java? We wanted to make the most versatile, expendable application, and we selected java as the appropriate solution, since it is not platform-specific, has leading edge standards and supports the additional technologies we wanted to implement on this project.
Data in XML. XML (extended markup language) has become the standard in data exchange technologies, and thus, having the data information in XML makes the application easier to maintain, the data easier to exchange and the update possibilities endless, since the data is in a uniform web aware standard. Graphics in SVG. Scalable Vector Graphics is soon to become the standard in graphics formats, because is an open standard, strongly backed by its XML foundation, and it is an elegant solution to display graphics in an application, because it is resolution independent, allows for morphing (between template and faceplate view), and it is easier to maintain than Bitmap images. Also, it allows One Mile Up to continue its lifelong commitment to vector graphics.
