The collectable model JN-4 Jenny represents one of the most important aircraft ever built. Used as a trainer, the JN-4 Jenny was a mainstay of the barnstorming pilots of the 1920s. For many Americans, their first glimpse of an airplane was of a JN-4 Jenny. Painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen with a wealth of detail, this 1/32 scale JN-4 Jenny makes a great gift for any aviation enthusiast or history buff.
Powered by a 90-horsepower OX-5 V-8 engine, the Jenny had a top speed of 65 mph and a ceiling of 6,500 feet. Its maneuverability and low speeds made it a good craft to use for aerial exhibitions, and hundreds of the more than 6,800 built found their way into civilian use. After World War I a Jenny could be purchased for as low as $200.
The Canadian version was the JN-4 (Can), also known as the "Canuck", and was built with a control stick instead of the Deperdussin control wheel used in the regular JN-4 model, as well as usually having a somewhat more rounded rudder outline than the American version.
