Limited Edition Aviation Art by Sam Lyons More Info »

Sam Lyon's love of aviation since childhood led him down the road to his present career as a world-renowned aviation artist. His paintings can be found at military bases, museums, aviation gift shops, and in pilots' art collections throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Through his membership in the Air Force Art Program, Sam's painting "Lead Solo" graces the Air Force Art Hall in the Pentagon.

"Field of Dreams" is a print for any Cub fans because the scene is a dream come true for anyone who loves beautiful machines. Sam paired up a 1946 J-3 Piper Cub with a John Deere tractor from the same time period. The original was commissioned by two brothers from Virginia, Anthony and William White, who were doing a complete restoration on a '46 Cub. This print has incredible details. The more you look at it, the more you'll see. It also has its share of airport characters … including the artist himself peering out of the hangar Prints are co-signed by the navigator William Ford. This print is produced on acid-free, neutral-pH paper with permanent inks and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The image size is a big 15" x 30" and prints are available in a Limited Edition of 400 Signed & Numbered, 40 Artist Proofs and 50 Prints on Canvas.
