Great for starving CFIs
After going through two cheap headsets in my 4-1/2 years of flying, I decided to spend a little more and hopefully get a longer-lasting, lighter headset with less clamping pressure. The HS200 weighs only about 11 ounces. It provides noise reduction as well as any other passive headset I've used, but it does so without the excessive clamping force of most cheaper passive headsets. Any GA pilot knows that excessive weight and clamping force in a headset can cause significant discomfort after about an hour in the air. The HS200 has yet to cause me any discomfort in flight. I only give it a rating of 4 because it's not an ANR (noise cancelling) headset. Garret C. - Ruston, LA  Best headset ever!
I have tried every style David Clark, Lightspeeds including the Zulu and lots of time with the bose X. These Beyerdynamic headsets are far superior to any headset I have used. This has German build quality and the company makes top of the line studio headsets also. This is the most clear sounding headset ever. This passive headset seems quieter than my Bose X in my Decathlon. This weighs only 11 ounces and is more comfy than anything. NO CLAMPING PRESSURE. I can't believe how much sound it blocks. They sell 3 different types of earseals for your preference. This kills the Bose X and it is only $269.00. Trust me on this. I bet the anr is awesome, I just like simple better.
