Who should by this software?
Any pilot who already has a Private Pilot Certificate. This software is designed specifically for pilots who already have their certificates and need to review important concepts. Whether you are preparing for a biennial flight review, don't fly too often, or haven't flown in a while; this software is just what you need.
The
only
Learning & Test Prep software on the market that includes...
an updatable Aviation Library that is fully integrated with the learning and testing environment.
What is included in the VFR Pilot Review System?
13 Testing databases
11 Review Tests, each designed in an open ended question style (just like an oral). There is a test that covers each of the following topics: aerodynamics, aircraft systems, airport operations, airspace, FARs, lighting and visual aids, METARs and TAFs, navigation, performance, safety of flight and weather.
1 Review Test comprised of all of the questions from the 11 tests above, but delivered in a multiple choice format.
1 VFR Multiple Choice Test. An entirely different database of questions than the Review Tests delivered in a multiple choice format.
Aviation Library:
FARs (Parts 1, 21, 39, 43, 61, 71, 91, 97, 105, 830)
Aeronautical Information Manual
Airplane Flying Handbook
Aviation Weather

Guide to preparing for the FAA Knowledge Test
Incredible Value for Your Money!
For $64.95, you are getting...
a) a huge time saver! The only software available that integrates the reference library with the testing and learning environment. The integration software finds the answer in the appropriate book for you so you can spend your time studying the relevant material instead of searching for the answer. The information you need, when you need it, to your fingertips
b) Free updates for 12 months!
This software has tools for every level of learning.
a) Already Certificated Pilots - Use the VFR Pilot Review System to continue learning and prep for a flight review. Online courses are integrated with the software.
b) CFI's, Examiners - The easy-to-navigate reference library is a great tool for verifying information (you will always have a current FAR/AIM), cross-referencing information between many sources, developing questions, and checking candidates.
How is the VFR Pilot Review System different from the Private Pilot Study System?
There are 3 main differences:
The tools needed by a new pilot preparing for his FAA Knowledge Test and Private Pilot flight test are not included (ie. the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test, Practical Test Standards, Knowledge Test Prep Guide, etc.)
The question style is more diverse. In addition to the multiple choice format, there are 11 tests designed with an open ended question style. This open ended question style is a perfect way to prepare for a flight review. The question is displayed, but no multiple choice answers are shown. When you click on the Show Answer button, the answer is displayed along with a concise explanation and a library reference.
Many of the answer windows also contain links to online training tools and courses. The links provided in a particular answer window are, of course, relevant to that question. Clicking on the link allows you to take all, or part, of an online course without ever leaving our test! When you close the online course, you are brought back to the point in our test where you left off. This is an excellent tool for developing a deeper understanding of certain concepts, rules and procedures.
